Home Sweet Home' - so to say about the place we live in. The words give us an idea that home should be a place where we could get 'sweet' feelings such as peace, comfort, love and acknowledgment. Home should be the place where we would spend most of our time in life. It is the place we are looking for when we need shelter, support, a place to take a rest from our daily routine, frankly it could be the place for our stress relief.

Researchers find out that antidote to stress is called The Relaxation Response. It's your body"s opposite of stress, and it creates a sense of well-being and calm. You can help trigger it by doing some activities that are calming and pleasurable: Reading a book, doing your hobbies, taking relaxing bath, the activities you can do at home. So you see! you can find the antidote to stress at your very home.

So find a good book to read that meet with your interest. But if you are in a stressful condition, choose a book that won"t make you think too hard. Just find some 'soft' topics that your brain would easily 'digest'. Reading books that promote your optimism would be great.

Do hobbies that can make your body move if it's possible, so you can get double benefits by one action. Gardening is good for this purpose. You can also play with your pets if you have one. Painting, playing piano, listening to good music are also good to relief your stress.

Take a relaxing bath on your lovely bath tub with warm water. You can find aroma therapy soaps that can give you a sense of relaxation. In Japan, It's been known that take a dip bath in warm water can ease tension cause it could make blood vessels open wider and as a result, blood circulation runs better. People there routinely visit hot springs that are easily found to relief from stress.

Build a strong communication with your family. Talk to your spouse about everything, take some time alone just the two of you to build a strong bond. Don"t forget your kids also, if you have one. Give them attention they need. Give your family times, not just a quality time, but very much times to strengthen your love. By doing this, you could reap the benefits that are 'sweet' feelings mentioned above due to the conducive situation you have created. By giving proper attention to your family, it can make you not to focus on your stressors.

The next time you deal with stressful conditions, you could feel warmth to know that you can get a stress relief from your 'Home Sweet Home'. All you have to do is make an effort to make this happens.
